The Tajo Gorge in Ronda

The Tajo Gorge in Ronda

The Tajo Gorge (Desfiladero del Tajo) is a new tourist attraction in Ronda that allows visitors to explore the area via a walkway three meters above the Guadalevín River. From the Tajo Gorge, you can enjoy impressive views of the gorge itself, the city of Ronda, and the three bridges that cross it: the Puente Nuevo, the Puente Romano, and the Puente Viejo. You can also observe the geology of the gorge, the history of the city, and the various monuments you encounter during the tour.

It is recommended to book tickets for the Tajo Gorge in advance, as the number of visitors is limited.

GUIDED TOUR AND OIL TASTING WORKSHOP
ACEITES MOLISUR

Olive tourism is a special way of travelling, based on visiting olive-growing regions and oil mills, highlighting the process of obtaining extra virgin olive oil, the main element of the Mediterranean diet.

At Aceites Molisur you will get to know first-hand the careful process of producing our extra virgin olive oils, guided by the love of the olive grove, traditions and culture. We want you to discover the true world of extra virgin olive oil, to know the tree, the fruit, its care and its elaboration. Being an olive farmer for a day, sponsoring an olive tree, learning how to taste an oil, are some of the experiences you can enjoy in our facilities.

Learn the history of extra virgin oil in person. We are located in a unique environment, at the foot of the Sierra de Alhaurín el Grande, where you can enjoy nature and at the same time learn everything about the extra virgin olive oil that we produce at Aceites Molisur. We offer guided tours accompanied by the specialized staff of the oil mill.

Aceites Molisur is a family business located in Alhaurin el Grande (Málaga) that was founded in 2003 with the purpose of serving the Guadalhorce Valley. They are dedicated to the manufacture, packaging and sale of Extra Virgin Olive Oil with the most advanced technology, without losing the traditional way of obtaining oil. At present they have two production lines and are qualified as an ecological oil mill. Thanks to the environment, the Extra Virgin Olive Oil and the Ecological Oil are characterized by their smell, color and sweet & fruity flavor.

In the facilities you can visit an oil mill with the most advanced technology and a blood mill from 1910 in operation, thanks to a body of pumps and a system of pulleys moved by leather belts. Visiting any of them, the oleoturista can know in detail the complete elaboration process to obtain the "liquid gold" and, of course, you can also enjoy a sensorial experience through an initiation workshop to the oil tasting of extra virgin olive.

Antequera Dolmens Site

Antequera Dolmens Site

Located at the heart of Andalusia in southern Spain, the site comprises three megalithic monuments: the Menga and Viera dolmens and the Tholos of El Romeral, and two natural monuments: La Peña de los Enamorados and El Torcal mountainous formations, which are landmarks within the property. Built during the Neolithic and Bronze Age out of large stone blocks, these monuments form chambers with lintelled roofs or false cupolas. These three tombs, buried beneath their original earth tumuli, are one of the most remarkable architectural works of European prehistory and one of the most important examples of European Megalithism.

Antequera, straight to your heart. Don't miss the beautiful, impressive historical city Antequera itself.

THE LEGACY OF TOURISM

A non-profit initiative that discloses the history of the tourism sector. The primary objective is to value the people, companies and destinations that have laid the foundations of the world of travel, thus paying tribute to those who have preceded us. The Museum is coordinated by the tourist promoter Alberto Bosque Coello.

The Tourism Museum does not have a single headquarters but is an "extended", "diffuse" and global (viritual) museum. The headquarters of the Museum is the world, and every place where there is a "room", this being a space in which objects related to the history of tourism are exhibited, such as travel guides, photos, postcards, posters, souvenirs… Each room is dedicated to a theme, which is always related to the place where it is located.

We are pleased that "room" number 48 of the Tourism Museum is now open at Villa CONMIGO bed and breakfast. The topic is History of Tourism in Malaga, Costa del Sol, History of Dutch Tourism to Malaga and the Costa del Sol.
